Local Green Space and the JCS

As part of the enquiry into the Joint Core Strategy (JCS) the inspector told the various parties to meet to agree a position regarding Local Green Space (LGS) around Swindon Village. The proponents of LGS (Swindon Parish Council and Save the Countryside) discussed the matter with representatives of Bloor Homes and Persimmon Homes, two of the major housing developers proposing to build thousands of houses in the area. This document details the outcome of those discussions and provides a recommendation to Cheltenham Borough Council to formally designate certain areas as Local Green Space. If CBC agree it will give these areas a degree of protection from future development.

Reporting issues

Report car parking, potholes, pavements, footpaths and rights of way, roads, traffic signs and traffic lights, flooding and blocked drains, dog fouling, fly posting, fly tipping, graffiti, parks, refuse, street cleaning, street lights and trees RIGHT HERE.
