The sundial behind the village hall is now ready for use.

The launch of the sundial mosaic behind the Village Hall was a great success. The sundial was officially opened by The Worshipful The Mayor Councillor Brian Chaplin on Saturday 24 September at an event attended by nearly 100 villagers. Music and light refreshments were provided. The Sundial Project was initiated and driven by members of the Swindon Village community using Lottery funds from the Local Heritage Initiative administered by the Countryside Agency

A detailed report will follow soon. Information leaflets will be available at the Tourist Information Office"

To tell the time, stand astride the centre line of the months stone with your heels together. Stand so that the centres of your heels correspond with the date.
