SWINDON VILLAGE PRIMARY SCHOOL
Summer Term Newsletter 3 7th May 2004
Dear Parents, Staff and Governors,
Cheltenham Town FC - We are grateful to the management & players of Cheltenham Town Football Club who kindly gave us an impromptu visit at lunchtime today to sign autographs.
Parking - Sorry to say that we have received complaints from Seasons Club (previously the Eagle Star Club) with regard to stopping & parking on the corner of Quat Goose Lane. Apparently cars are parking on the corner & double-parking, which is making life difficult & dangerous for those entering the Club. The Club would prefer you to Use their car park rather than create problems on the access road. Your consideration would be much appreciated.
Gymnastics - Well done to the following members who have achieved their Level 7 Proficiency Awards: Matthew Bailey, Jason Collins, Emilia Fuorvito, Sam Green, Isabella Hillier-Richardson, Dannielle Hopkins, Christopher Keats, Jenny Keats, Beth Langdon, Siobhan Lynch, Amal Mistry, Gemma Perks & Daniel Rappitt. We are grateful to Emma Carolan & Debbie Daly for running the club & examining the awards.
Cheltenham Competitive Festival- Yesterday our recorder players performed in the Competitive Festival at the Town Hall where they performed very creditably in the competitions. We congratulate particularly Aaron Lewis (Y5), Calum Armstrong (Y5) & Katie Prout (Y6) for winning silver medals in the recorder trio class & Molly Chapman (Y6) for the bronze medal in the recorder solo Class. Well done also to Milli Cornock, Alex Costigane, Ross Evans, Ellie Finch, Anna Hughes, Emily Pagel, Rebecca Prout, Louise Rogers, Paige Simic & Ebony Stennett for their highly praised performances in solo, duet & trio classes. We are extremely grateful to Wendy Berry & Louise Bradley for teaching the pieces & to the parents who provided transport & support.
