Cricket - Sadly after a very creditable season the team's unbeaten run came to an end on Wednesday afternoon in the semi-final of the Cheltenham League Championships when we lost by 50 runs to St. Marks' Junior school by 50 runs. Unfortunately our opponents' batting was superior to ours & they found the boundary frequently.

Robin Hood - We congratulate our Year 6 pupils for giving an excellent performance of Robin Hood to a packed audience of friends & relations on Wednesday evening. We are particularly grateful to Louise Bradley, Dominic Roddis & Andrea Mills for producing a superb show in a matter of days rather than weeks. The children demonstrated their talents by singing, dancing & acting admirably. A collection for Save-the-Children raised £96.40. Thank you.

Sports Afternoon - Next Monday afternoon from 1.3Op.m, Dawn Atkinson & /, invite you to join us for a farewell coffee or tea in the hag before the sports begin at 2.0Op.m.on the school field.

For those of you who have not experienced our sports before, the children move around the field in their classes, in house teams, taking part in a variety of events. The format is designed to keep the children fully involved in a competitive but enjoyable context. Although there will be refreshment breaks it would be wise to bring a named water bottle for extra liquid. Depending on the weather, sun hats & protective cream may also be a wise precaution. Once the events have been completed the children will return to their classrooms where they can be collected with the knowledge of their class teacher. Please do not collect other children unless their parents are aware! The final results will be announced in Tuesday's assembly. PLEASE NOTE THAT DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE SCHOOL PREMISES.

Following the sports you may like to visit the Book Fair, lost property display in the hall & wander around the school to look at the displays.

School Picnic - Next Tuesday afternoon we shall be holding a whole school picnic in the school grounds. It will be a non-uniform day in aid of Sport Relief so your donations would be much appreciated. THERE ARE NO HOT LUNCHES AVAILABLE SO PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR CHILD WITH A PICNIC LUNCH. WE SHALL EAT TOGETHER HOPEFULLY ON THE FIELD AT 12P.M.

It will be our traditional Teddy Bear's Picnic for the Key Stage 1 classes (Reception, Year & Year2 classes). The Key Stage 2 children will be taking part in a variety of sports on the field. Roller skating will be allowed on the junior playground providing the participants wear appropriate protective clothing.
